Site Reliability Engineer / Systems Administrator

IT/IQ Tech Recruiters are currently working alongside a leading provider of developmental programs and home learning in their search for a Site Reliability Engineer / Systems Administrator. This is a 6 month contract opportunity that will primarily involve Windows Server Administration, configuring applications,  security and vulnerability mitigation, containerization using Docker etc. 

The Services

You will work at the direction of the Chief Information Officer and/or delegate.

The Contractor will provide all services necessary for IT systems:

  • Administration
  • Security / Vulnerability Mitigation
  • Monitoring
  • Documenting
  • Research
  • Reporting
  • Troubleshooting
  • Training.

Service Deliverables

The deliverables provided under this Agreement include but are not limited to:

  • Setup / provisioning / configuration of line of business applications.
  • Maintain a high level of server and application availability (99.9%).
  • Automating frequently performed tasks.
  • Maintenance, support, and provisioning of infrastructure, codebases and applications.
  • Regular backups, archivals, and proven test restores of SelfDesign data.
  • Access control Lists and management of user and group privileges.
  • Research new technologies or methodologies which may enhance overall system security, availability, reliability or contractor workflow.
  • Review and update existing or create new documentation.
  • Maintenance and security patches on servers.
  • Maintain and enhance monitoring system to alert problems before the public is aware.
  • Updated SelfDesign software and service images.
  • Automated deployment of SDLF software and service images.
  • Vulnerability assessments of SDLF infrastructure and services.
  • Assistance with issues escalated via the technical support team.
  • Create and execute work plan to ensure technology skills are current with business infrastructure.
