IT/IQ Tech Recruiters is seeking a Development Manager to join our client in Calgary, AB,

Manage a distributed team of full stack developers, including hiring, onboarding, compensation and promotions
Partner with the Product team to refine and deliver the roadmap. (Product own the “what and why”, your team is responsible for the “how”.)
Expect to review code, work on PoCs, code to stay current.
Ensure the team is making sound technology decisions with regard to quality, scalability, maintainability and flexibility
Research, evaluate and experiment with new technologies
Top Skills Required
A love of solving complex problems with elegant software solutions
Ability to understand existing systems and tackle difficult and subtle system-level issues, emphasizing simplicity and long-lasting designs
Passion for building a high performing, open-minded, collaborative team
Strong hands-on coding skills in at least some parts of our tech stack (C# .Net, React, Kotlin, Swift, SQL Server), and familiarity with others. (Although you won’t be coding full-time and we don’t expect you to be an expert in all parts of our tech stack, it’s important that your technical skills are strong enough to be credible, and to have good empathy for technical challenges our developers encounter)
Experience deploying commercial applications to public cloud infrastructure. Bonus points if done in Azure.
Pragmatic, not pedantic, approach to implementing Agile software delivery practices
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
