IT/IQ Tech Recruiters is seeking a Lead iOS Developer to join our client in Vancouver, BC.

Responsibilities

  • Be involved in the architecture, design, and development of high profile features and projects with the world’s most recognizable sports brands
  • Collaborate and communicate with product in agile processes to provide technical feasibility, specifications, and estimates
  • Generate technical documentation to communicate architectural and design options, and educate development teams and business users
  • Code! Execute the development of new features and bug fixes for our mobile apps from end to end
  • Engage & collaborate with our contracted developers and/or junior mobile developers to ensure mobile development milestones are completed and team skills are developed
  • Reach consensus with the backend developers on data models and communication protocols using JSON, and implement according to specs
  • Participate in enhancing the CI pipeline to make it faster and provide more test coverage, with the goal of minimizing manual testing and being release ready after each commit
  • Set goals and track our mobile development activity/productivity
  • Efficiently communicate progress to the team and senior leadership
  • Other roles & responsibilities as required by the business

 

Top Skills Required

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 6+ years development experience in a team environment
  • 6+ years of iOS coding experience
  • Understanding of IT Standards, UX Design, Accessibility, Agile Methodologies
  • In-depth understanding of the Human Interface and Material Design guidelines
  • Experience with various app architectures, like MVC, MVVM, etc.
  • Source control, branching, merging using Git
  • Familiarity with App performance optimization for data and battery consumption
  • Knowledge of concurrency best practices and pitfalls
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be a collaborative, team player, who values giving and receiving constructive feedback and who has strong interpersonal skills
  • Results-driven attitude
  • Ability to multitask, work independently or as part of a team, and be self-motivated
  • High standard of quality in coding practices
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, organize and prioritize work to achieve results
  • No fear of asking for clarification to completely understand requirements
  • Detail-oriented
  • Passion for health and/or sports
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
