Responsibilities

  • Assist all Corporate users with problems relating to peripheral devices (printers, monitors, PC’s, etc.) and software applications (Microsoft Office), Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows 7 / 8 / 10), and Microsoft Networking, Apple technologies etc.
  • Assist in the support of corporate field mobile technologies.  
  • Representing as an escalation point for the customer and internal teams.
  • Assisting with solving incidents / problem tickets and issues to the betterment of the customer’s environment.
  • First point of contact for team in the events of any outages during or after business hours.
  • Be part of the assessments, review each supported hardware annually, working with the internal teams, to evaluate the IT needs of the customer and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Ensure incidents resolved by team are transferred into knowledge base articles.
  • Involvement with the application/server’s backup and with the server patching team for server and end users to ensure things are moving forward.
  • Maintain a client hardware and infrastructure inventory that will be updated at least quarterly in the CMDB and supporting asset lifecycle management.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of Managed Services infrastructure operations, management processes and practices.
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction, including association with the other stake holders while ensuring that they meet goals and KPIs, and delivering appropriate service levels. Work very closely with the other stake holders in all activities ongoing in the customer environment. 

 

Top Skills Required

  • Knowledge of application software and hardware including the Microsoft Office Suite of Products, Microsoft Operating Systems and Networking.  This includes an understanding of how these applications interact with the hardware platform, and other software in the environment.
  • Experience of Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2019, Linux, VMware and able to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems.
  • An in depth understanding of Active Directory Infrastructure [upgrade/migrate to new AD], DNS, DHCP, IAS, Clustering services, Windows Security, deployment services, DFS and Microsoft Exchange troubleshooting, administration, and implementation experience.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, ISA.
  • Experience in Azure & Office 365 Backend Administration.
  • Maintain the current network and systems infrastructure including switches, firewall, VPN, and patch panels.
  • A solid understanding of LAN ,WAN networking and Network Security.
  • Excellent Knowledge of Linux, Selinux, Jboss/Tomcat, Word Press, Apache web server; use of mod rewrite/mod proxy/AJP connectors.
  • Experience in Configuring SSL Certs for Apache, Tomcat, Nginx, IBM MQ and other servers.
  • Experience with Adobe AEM Implementation and Configuration.
  • A strong understanding of backup and recovery processes and applications like Arcserve.
  • Experience with SAN [HP3Par] configuration and administration.
  • Familiar with mysql administration including query analysis, optimization, SQL or Oracle knowledge and skills are an asset.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (perl, python, bash/csh).
  • Working knowledge of git (usage and administration) and Jenkins.
  • Perform server security audits, systems security best practices and experience with IDS/IPS, snort.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
  • Experience with Amazon AWS(EC2, VPC, Security Groups, ELB, S3, EFS). 
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
