  • Develops strategies, policy and standards and ensures their relevance with scheduled reviews.
  • Coordinate or executes Security risk assessments of internal and partner systems and architecture. Documents findings and develop action plans to eliminate or mitigate identified risks.
  • Ongoing reviews of actively used technologies ensuring they are aligned with goals and objectives.
  • Maintain current knowledge of emerging AWS and other cloud technologies and coordinate an effort with other teams in implementation of relevant products.
  • Collaborates and develops a security awareness program.
  • Collaborates and maintains relationships with other club security personnel to share experience/knowledge applicable to our business/industry.
  • Develops or participates in Security strategies incorporating business requirements. Proactively researches, pilots, evaluates Security technologies and standards, identifies how they will integrate within the corporate network and recommends strategies.
  • Participates in budgeting exercises with management, providing Security expertise regarding capital and operating business cases for enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Employs a method of vendor selection to ensure appropriate relationships and strategic partnerships are formed.


Top Skills Required

  • Education: CISSP, Undergraduate in Computer Science, Applicable Certifications or Diploma.
  • Experience: 5+ years of working in a senior security or security leadership role with two years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to create systems and consistent procedures and processes in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Proven analytical, mathematical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of all the components involved in setting up and maintaining systems environments for product, development, testing, staging and training.
  • Proven Logical and efficient with attention to detail
  • Experience in AWS cloud environments
  • Experience in managing a EDR and SIEM environments
  • Troubleshooting methodologies
  • Proven excellent oral and written communication skills with a customer focus
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and with other team members
  • Proven ability to be proactive when dealing with issues and challenges
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent multi-taking and organizational skills
  • Experience with communications to executive leadership
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
