Responsibilities

  • Applying strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize user needs, business goals, and technological realities in the enterprise space
  • Using facilitative leadership skills to drive to the best outcome for stakeholders, partners and customers
  • Partnering closely with Product Management and Engineering to conceptualize a broad spectrum of ideas before narrowing based on experimentation and user research
  • Transforming insights into concepts, wireframes, and prototypes and UI specifications informed by usability best practices, standards-compliant design and most importantly, user validation
  • Working across teams on multiple initiatives, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately
  • Establishing standards, soliciting and providing feedback, and evolving processes to increase design quality
  • Collaborating effectively with designers, product managers, researchers, marketers and other key stakeholders

 

Top Skills Required

  • 8+ years of experience in interaction design, product design, service design, or related field
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or related field; Master’s preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record in setting a vision for great customer experiences, inspiring others to get behind that vision, and ultimately delivering products and services that are known for their delightful experience and ease of use
  • Expert knowledge and experience driving and applying user-centered, iterative design processes: working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product Management, and UX research.
  • Expertise conveying ideas and concepts through sketching, storyboarding, wire-framing, and prototyping
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills; you help your team and stakeholders understand the “why” behind your design rationale
  • A positive attitude, a team-oriented mindset, a bias for experimentation, and a passion for creating products that resonate with customers on an emotional level
  • Mastery of design tools such as Figma, InVision, or Adobe XD; experienced with online collaboration tools such as Miro or InVision Freehand; experienced with design evaluation tools such as Optimal Workshop or UserTesting
  • A strong portfolio with case studies describing how you defined problems, explored and delivered solutions to them, and ultimately made an impact on the business
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
