Responsibilities

  • Manages business transformation projects by collaborating with stakeholders across different functional areas to uncover and lead the execution/implementation of process improvement opportunities and strategic initiatives
  • People Leadership responsibilities including regular communication with direct reports as well as broader PMO team, coaching, goal setting, evaluating performance and all other related talent responsibilities.
  • Is a visionary for the PMO by articulating a clear idea about what needs to be done in the present and the future to enable business transformation.
  • Oversees the PMO to ensure timely and efficient execution of major enterprise initiatives and projects in conjunction with relevant business and/or functional leaders.
  • Works collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to ensure all initiatives/projects are planned and tracked effectively, including action and risk mitigations plans, to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and deliver targeted objectives/benefits.
  • Influences and engages senior-level executives across all functional areas of the business to drive outcomes and proactively deal with issues.
  • Provides expert strategic direction for all transformational activities, including the establishment and monitoring of strategic processes for project review and management.
  • Develops a consistent and contemporary approach to project management.  Ensures team members are developing the most pertinent skills to align with evolving client and organizational needs.  Stays attuned to trends and new approaches for consideration. 
  • Assists the organization to attain high client satisfaction / retention as well as provide a competitive advantage in the service and sales arena by overseeing the client implementation function.
  • Fosters a sense of urgency and champions radical change that pushes for continual improvement with a focus on improving efficiency, quality and driving down costs.
  • Works on abstract problems across functional areas of the business. Identifies and evaluates issues for major functional areas through assessment of intangible variables.
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Assembles and directs cross functional/cross site project team(s), including information compilation and information flow.
  • Defines, measures, and communicates transformation project success to SLT and other stakeholders.

 

Top Skills Required

  • Undergraduate degree required.  Master's Degree (or equivalent) preferred.
  • PMP Designation
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience, preferably with remote team members
  • Lean Six Sigma and Agile project management experience is an asset
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Facilitation and Change Management leadership skills/experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; and statistical software and project management software/technology tools
  • Excellent planning, organization, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership ability, excellent facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to Influence and motivate teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret comprehensive and intricate research documents.
  • Ability to work with executives and communicate abstract concepts.
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver transformative projects through a centralized PMO in a fast paced, continually evolving environment with multiple initiatives occurring simultaneously
  • Ability to present to senior leaders in the organization as well as senior groups externally.
