This year marked IT/IQ’s tenth annual mid-year trip to Whistler. As way to celebrate from half of the year’s victories and recuperate from any challenges our team spends an all-expenses paid night at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
At 9:00 AM on Friday July 12th, we boarded a (thankfully) air-conditioned Westcan charter bus and headed for our first activity of the day: axe throwing. Forged Axe Throwing hosted all 39 of us and taught us how to not only throw axes, but how to do it well enough to compete. The group was split into four teams that competed in accuracy-based games.
From axe throwing, we headed to the Fairmont, and spent some much-needed time at the pool. After some rest and exploration of the village, the group walked over to Milestones Whistler for dinner, and eventually Garfinkel’s to dance until the early morning.
Thank you to Forged Axe, the Fairmont, Milestones and Garfinkel’s for all hosting us and providing such a great time. We look forward to the rest of the year and all the successes and challenges we will overcome!
