The days are getting shorter, there’s a chill in the air, and pumpkin spice is flowing as freely as the Fraser river; it must be autumn. As the seasons change, IT/IQ’s team is dusting off our red suits and waxing our sleigh in preparation of one of our most impactful campaigns of the year. For the seventh straight year, IT/IQ is thrilled to be supporting YWCA’s Presents of Peace program.
The Presents of Peace holiday hamper program matches individual and corporate sponsors with ‘adopted’ families to provide gifts and groceries for the holiday season.
Great cause
IT/IQ has historically focused our efforts on supporting families living in the YWCA Munroe House – an emergency transition house for women who have left abusive relationships, often with only what they could carry out the door. This program brings a small amount of normalcy in a turbulent time and reminds the recipients that they are valued and cared for.
“This is a tremendously meaningful campaign for our team,” says Feras Elkhalil, IT/IQ’s founder and president. “As a parent myself, I can only imagine how challenging this time of year must be for these moms. They’re doing everything they can to keep their kids safe but could use some help to make it a real holiday for their family. Through the Presents of Peace program, our team can help share a small piece of the burden they’re carrying. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help these incredibly strong and determined women and their families.”
